But the year isn’t over yet for the Green Street and The Lord of the Rings star as he physically transforms into what seems like a compelling character for Macon Blair’s The Toxic Avenger remake. Marking his debut with a brief role in Back To The Future II, Wood emerged as a household name ever since he played the hobbit Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings franchise. He hasn’t enjoyed the same mainstream success since the Oscar-winning trilogy but has continued to make his mark in niche genre outings.
