E DON RED!!!! Man Arraigned For Stealing Fufu, Noodles, Salt, Onions And Pot Of Soup In Ekiti
A 20-year-old man, Ojo Monday, accused of housebreaking and theft, appeared before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ekiti State.
According to Inspector Moyosola Adesola, the police prosecutor, the suspect allegedly stole noodles, maggi seasonings, salt, onions, “fufu,” and a pot of soup, valued at N300,000, belonging to the complainant.
The incident occurred on Thursday, March 14, 2024, around 12 noon at Falegan, Ilawe Road in Ado-Ekiti.
However, the defendant denied the charges.
Inspector Adesola stated that the offences violated Sections 322 and 302(1) (a) of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State 2021.
Olayinka Opaleke, counsel to the defendant, requested bail for the defendant.
Chief Magistrate Mrs. Taiwo Ajibade granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum. The case was adjourned till April 23 for a hearing.
