Dune 2 Is Already Fixing The Original 1984 Movie’s Feyd Rautha Mistake

Denis Villenueve’s upcoming Dune: Part Two appears to be avoiding the missteps of Feyd Rautha’s characterization as portrayed in David Lynch’s 1984 rendition, which should strengthen the emotional stakes of his climactic duel with Paul Atreides. In Frank Herbert’s original novel, Feyd Rautha serves as a dark reflection of Paul, a rival in both fighting prowess and in providing the Bene Gesserits a worthy candidate in their search for the prophesied Kwisatz Haderach.
