Disputed Origin Of The Fugitive’s “I Don’t Care” Line Addressed By Director
The Fugitive director Andrew Davis weighs in on Tommy Lee Jones’ famous “I don’t care” line from the film, finally settling how it originated. Released in 1993, Harrison Ford stars in the film as Dr. Richard Kimble, a man accused of killing his wife who must run from authorities in order to prove catch her real killer. Jones costars in the movie as U.S. Marshal Samuel Gerard, with the pair having a memorable encounter in a dam drainage tube in which Lee utters his famous line after Ford’s character declares, “I didn’t kill my wife.“
