Disney Rejecting Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas 2 Wish Would Risk Repeating Their Last $300 Million Sequel Disaster
Should Disney go against Tim Burton’s wishes for The Nightmare Before Christmas 2, they run the risk of repeating their last $300 million sequel disaster. Based on Burton’s 1982 poem, The Nightmare Before Christmas follows Jack Skellington as he schemes to take over Christmas Town’s holiday. Burton’s easily identifiable character designs and Gothic tone situated the Disney horror as a commercial success and fan favorite. Despite being 30 years old, The Nightmare Before Christmas hasn’t lost its appeal and has had numerous successful re-releases. However, no plans for a sequel have been confirmed.
