According to the latest prediction by the Opta SuperComputer, Liverpool has emerged as the new frontrunner to clinch the Premier League title.

This assessment comes after Liverpool’s comeback victory against Brighton, where they secured a 2-1 win at Anfield.

In a pivotal match against their rivals, Manchester City, Liverpool played to a goalless draw, allowing them to move two points clear at the top of the table. Defending champions City currently sit in third place, trailing Liverpool by three points.

After simulating the remaining fixtures of the season 10,000 times, Opta’s supercomputer now gives Liverpool a 47.7% chance of winning the Premier League title with nine matches left to play.

This represents a significant increase of 12.4% following Liverpool’s triumph over Brighton.

Meanwhile, Manchester City’s chances of retaining the title have decreased from 45.9% to 33.5% after their draw with Arsenal.

Despite the stalemate, Arsenal’s prospects of winning their first league title since 2004 remain unchanged at 18.8%, according to the predictions.
