Casting Futurama In Live-Action

While Futurama’s live-action adaptation might never happen, that doesn’t mean that there are not a host of human stars who are perfectly suited to bringing the show’s colorful cast to life on screen. Adapting popular cartoons into live-action shows is infamously difficult. Moments that feel hilarious or visually striking in animated formats can look silly, cheap, or downright weird in live-action. Meanwhile, scenes that are relatively easy to animate can be almost impossible to stage in live-action. As a result, most prime-time animated sitcoms have never spawned live-action remakes. This is a shame since some have ideal live-action casts available to them.
