Black Cake Interview: Showrunner On Interweaving Multiple Narratives Over Different Time Periods

The first three episodes of Black Cake premiered on Hulu on November 1 with the streaming service releasing a new installment every Wednesday until the season finale. Taking place during two different time periods, the story follows a murder suspect on the run during the 1960s and a brother and sister mourning their mother’s death in the present day. However, the stories begin to weave together as the estranged pair of siblings reunite to learn more about their roots.
