Benedict Cumberbatch is an outstanding actor who has proven his abilities across a variety of complex and engaging roles. Hailing from London, England, Cumberbatch picked up his first acting credit in 2002 with a made-for-TV movie, called Fields of Gold. Following that, Cumberbatch continued to appear in small roles in several TV shows, before securing a leading role in another TV film, Hawking, in 2004.
