Baldur’s Gate 3 Takes The Worst Part Of D&D And Makes It Hilarious

Baldur’s Gate 3 does an excellent job of recreating the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying experience in a video game, but one specific side quest pokes some loving fun at its inspirations. DnD is a tool that can be used for endless creativity, but it also lends itself to certain tropes or familiar gameplay elements that recur in many campaigns. In some cases, tropes can be popular because of their epic scale or memorable impact, but others stick around more because of convenience than out of any particular love that players have for them.
