Ahsoka Repeated One Of Last Jedi’s Most Controversial Plots – & Made It Work

A familiar plot point from Star Wars: The Last Jedi is handled far more competently in Ahsoka. The Last Jedi is easily the most divisive entry in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, with many viewers taking issue with the film’s characterization of returning original trilogy-era characters, its understanding (or lack thereof) of the Force and various Force-using factions, and repeated imitations of scenes and arcs from previous Star Wars films (a common criticism of its predecessor as well). One particular subplot involving Resistance pilot Poe Dameron has a counterpart in Ahsoka, with the latter handling a comparable story far better.
