The 29-year-old was staying on his parent’s farm in Virginia when he welcomed Russian partner Julia to the U.S. on a K-1 visa. Brandon faced money issues, hence staying on the farm was the only option. But Julia faced difficulties adjusting to her new life, and looking after farm animals. Julia also faced interference from her mother-in-law Betty Gibbs in personal matters, while the helicopter parents never wanted the couple to get intimate before marriage.
