FromSoftware is a Japanese video game developer that was pretty unknown for the longest time, until 2011, that is. The release of Dark Souls led to critical acclaim, with the game being praised for its deep & solid combat mechanics, amazing lore, and a steep difficulty curve that forced players to get good or quit. FromSoftware continued to build on this formula with subsequent releases, including Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and the Dark Souls sequels.
