37-Year-Old Cult Classic Horror Movie To Be Rebooted, Director Teases More "Melted Gonzo Goodness"
A 37-year-old cult classic horror movie, Street Trash, is now receiving a reboot. The horror-comedy was directed by Jim Muro and follows a group of homeless people in Brooklyn who drink poisonous alcohol that causes their bodies to melt away hideously. Though Street Trash received little attention upon its limited theatrical release in 1987, it has since achieved the status of a cult classic through home video and is exemplary of the microgenre known as “melt movies,” a small subgenre of body horror.
