The Marvel Cinematic Universe sometimes feels as if it will run with its characters forever, but the legendary franchise has now been going on for long enough that many of its most valuable characters have been brought to satisfying conclusions. Sometimes, it feels as though the MCU timeline would use its characters forever if it could, with many actors still having been with the historic franchise for over ten years. Eventually, however, the continual commitment demanded from actors of major characters becomes exhausting, contracts end, and the franchise must find a way to end their role satisfyingly.
