Why I Stopped Going To Church – Phyna
Popular reality TV star, Phyna has revealed that she stopped going to church because of certain reforms initiated by the Pope, which is not in line with her beliefs.
Phyna, while speaking on her podcast ‘Spill with Phyna’ claimed that she has since distanced herself from the church due to some of the Pope’s revisions of Catholic code of beliefs.
She specifically expressed disapproval of the Pope’s recent endorsement of Catholic priests offering blessings for same-sex marriages.
She said:
“I stopped going to Church. Initially, I was Catholic; that was my Church growing up, but things come dey go on. Pope don actually pass different kinds of things then wey no really sit right with me but this recent one of man and man fit come marry for not just any Church but Catholic Church, I just tell myself say no need.”
