WAHALA!!!! Mob Nabs And Beats 28-Year-Old Suspected Thief Who Was Burgling A Shop In Delta
On Sunday, an enraged crowd captured and subjected a 28-year-old suspected thief to severe beating after allegedly catching him breaking into a shop along Airport Road in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
A passerby witnessed the burglary, raised an alarm, and attracted security personnel from a nearby hotel. The suspect attempted to flee but was chased down and captured by the mob.
Following the apprehension, he endured severe beatings for allegedly stealing some female slippers from the targeted shop.
The suspect, identified as Nnamdi, who claimed to be from Kwale Community in Delta State but resides at Mechanic Village, Army Barracks in Effurun, denied the allegations.
When asked about his presence at the shop and the identity of the actual burglar, he remained silent, pretending to be in pain.
Despite severe beatings and sustaining grievous injuries, Nnamdi was eventually released by the crowd.
