WAHALA!!!! Ibadan Residents Protest High Cost of Living

In Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, a protest has erupted over the surging cost of food and the economic conditions.

The demonstration occurred on Monday, with protesters gathering around the Mokola area, brandishing placards bearing messages such as ‘End food hike and inflation,’ ‘The poor are starving,’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises,’ among others.

The protesters expressed their grievances through chants and songs during the peaceful rally.

Despite the peaceful nature of the protest, armed policemen were present at the scene.

The demonstration is a response to the economic hardships exacerbated by the removal of the petrol subsidy.
