Tears In Abia As Tanker Crushes Fresh Graduate After Clearance

A recent graduate of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, Miss Ezekiel Mary Ogechi, met a tragic end on Tuesday when she was crushed by a fast-moving tanker in front of the institution.

Ogechi, an accounting student at the Polytechnic, had come to the school for academic clearance in preparation for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.

After completing the clearance, she exchanged pleasantries with classmates, expressing joy about her upcoming NYSC mobilization.

Despite making distinctions in accounting and receiving a scholarship for a post-graduate course, Ogechi was hit by a tricycle while attempting to cross the road and was subsequently crushed by a fast-moving truck.

The incident led to an enraged student protest, which was later diffused by the Polytechnic’s management and the Students Union Government.

As of the report, there was no official statement from the Polytechnic or the Abia State Police Command regarding the incident.
