STAR GIRL!! Ayra Starr Makes History, Emerges First Nigerian Female Artist On Billboard 200
Grammy-nominated Nigerian music sensation, Ayra Starr has made history by becoming the first Nigerian female artist to appear on the U.S. Billboard 200 Album chart.
The ‘Rush’ hitmaker’s outstanding achievement was made possible with the success of her second studio album, ‘The Year I Turned 21’, which entered the chart at number 195 on Monday.

Ayra Starr’s album “The Year I Turned 21” has made history in various ways. It is the first album by a female Nigerian artist to enter the UK Official Album chart, debuting at No. 80.
Additionally, it also debuted at No. 72 on the French Album chart.
Although, Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” remains the highest-charting Nigerian album in the US, reaching No. 14. “Love, Damini” is also the first Nigerian album to reach No. 1 on the UK album chart.
