SO SAD!!!! Student Gets Electrocuted In Government School In Abuja While Fetching Water
In a tragic incident, a 15-year-old student from Government Science Secondary School, Pyakasa/Maitama in Abuja, identified as Meshach Ogwuche Agaba, was electrocuted around 7:30 am on Wednesday.
The incident occurred near a water tap close to a wall with barbed wire within the school premises.
Meshach was swiftly taken to Maitama district hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead by doctors.
According to a police source, the electrocution happened as Meshach attempted to fetch water, slipped, and, in the process of struggling not to fall, grabbed onto a barbed wire suspected to be in contact with a naked electric cable.
The FCT Police Command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the heartbreaking incident.
