SO SAD!!!! Ajayi Crowther University Student Beaten To Death Over Alleged Phone Theft

A tragic incident unfolded at Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, as a student lost his life in a case of alleged theft.

According to sources within the university, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Friday when fellow students accused the victim of stealing a mobile phone and making unauthorized transactions from it.

Reports suggest that a group of students confronted the alleged thief, subjecting him to severe physical assault, which ultimately resulted in his death.

Disturbing video clips circulating online depict the harrowing scene, showing one student mercilessly beating the victim while others urged him on with cries of “harder, harder.”

The students’ anger was fueled by the theft of the phone and the unauthorized transfers made from the owner’s account.

Tragically, the victim was expelled from the hostel on Friday night, only to be discovered lifeless the following morning.

In response to the incident, the university authorities swiftly expelled the students involved in what they termed a “fight leading to the death of a fellow student.”

Despite rumors suggesting involvement in cult activities, the university’s Public Relations Officer clarified that there is no place for such behavior within the institution.

He emphasized the university’s zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct and affirmed that the expelled students were not affiliated with any cult group.

The university promptly handed over all individuals implicated in the incident to the police for further investigation, ensuring that justice will be served.

In a statement, the university expressed its commitment to maintaining a safe, peaceful, and conducive learning environment for all students.
