Photo Of Mother Who Was Arrested For Attempting To Murder Her Epileptic One Year Old Baby In Lagos
In Lagos State, authorities have apprehended a mother named Rukayat on suspicion of attempting to poison her epileptic child.
As per police reports, Rukayat brought her one-year-seven-month-old child, Wuraola, to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, citing concerns about the child’s health.
During the medical examination, Rukayat confessed to the doctor that on March 3, she administered insecticide to her child in the hope that the child would succumb immediately. Rukayat explained that she had exhausted all other attempts to alleviate her child’s epileptic condition, and, feeling desperate, resorted to poisoning.
The medical staff successfully treated the child, and the mother was promptly handed over to the police for further investigation and potential prosecution.
