NAFDAC Seizes N4.5m Expired Seasoning Cubes In Sokoto (DETAILS)
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has reported the seizure of 24 cartons of expired Maggie cube seasoning, valued at N4.5 million, in Sokoto.
Garba Adamu, the NAFDAC Coordinator in the state, revealed that the agency’s patrol team made the seizure, resulting in the apprehension and sanctioning of the owner.
Adamu warned against the transportation and sale of expired or about-to-expire products in Sokoto markets, emphasizing the importance of checking product levels and expiry dates.
He commended the support of various entities in safeguarding public health and urged Nigerians to verify NAFDAC registration levels and expiration dates before using products.
