It appears that the notorious Cucco is actually capable of protecting Link in an unusual way in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, perhaps even to the point of saving his life. The chicken-like creature has earned a reputation over the years for its violent response to being attacked, most often at the hands of Link. Now, with the world of Hyrule having become bigger and more detailed than ever, the behavior of Cuccos has become noticeably more complex, which has now come with an interesting benefit to the player.
