Why WALL-E 2 Never Happened Despite Pixar Making So Many Sequels

Although the Toy Story and Cars franchises proved to be a huge success for Pixar, some may be wondering why movies, like WALL-E, didn’t even get a sequel. Released in 2008, WALL-E is a sci-fi romance movie that follows the life of the lonely titular robot, who is desperately looking for companionship after he has spent years living on a desolate planet Earth. While he does seem to find what he is looking for in a probe droid called EVE, WALL-E soon finds himself going on an epic journey into space as he discovers that EVE was sent to Earth with a specific mission to bring humanity home.
