Why The Invincible Live-Action Movie Is Taking So Long Explained By Creator: "There’s A Lot Of Work That Needs To Be Done"

As the animated show adaptation finally gears up to return, creator Robert Kirkman offers an update on the live-action Invincible movie. Before Prime Video brought the graphic novels to life on screen, a feature-length adaptation of Kirkman’s superhero franchise had been in the works with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg set to write, direct and produce and Universal Pictures distributing the movie. Even as the focus shifted to the Invincible show, Kirkman has previously confirmed that development on the movie was still ongoing with the Point Grey duo involved and that Universal was still “very excited” to make it happen thanks to the show’s success.
