Horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan has revealed Stephen King almost denied him the movie rights to The Life of Chuck, but was later convinced it would be a good idea. The Life of Chuck is a short story from King’s collection If It Bleeds, telling the reverse biography of a man who dies of a brain tumor that lived in a haunted house as a child.
