Twisted Metal Was Never Going To Work As A TV Show, But It’s Still Tons Of Fun

Warning: Spoilers for Peacock’s Twisted Metal!Twisted Metal, an adaptation of Sony’s offbeat vehicular combat video game series, doesn’t quite work as a TV show, but that doesn’t make the ride any less fun. The action-comedy series is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland; U.S. cities are walled bastions, while criminals roam the lawless landscape between these fortresses. Delivery drivers called milkmen tote items across the marauder-infested wastes. Anthony Mackie’s amnesiac protagonist, John Doe, is one of those drivers.
