Transformers Is Finally Using A Key Autobot Michael Bay’s Franchise Never Included

In the upcoming movie Transformers One, the franchise is finally using a key Autobot that Michael Bay’s film series never featured. Created in the ’80s as a toy line by Hasbro, the “robots in disguise” eventually spawned an animated series, 1984’s The Transformers, and a film, 1986’s aptly titled The Transformers: The Movie. Decades later, the franchise saw its first live-action incarnation with Bay’s 2007 blockbuster Transformers, which led to six other CGI-driven movies. A prequel to the well-worn stories fans know and love, Transformers One, plans to take the enduring franchise back to its animated roots.
