Timothée Chalamet’s Florence Pugh Comments Solve A Major Dune 2 Problem

In speaking out about Dune: Part Two co-star Florence Pugh’s role in the film, series lead Timothée Chalamet put a major problem to rest. By and large, Denis Villeneuve’s 2021 sci-fi epic, Dune, remains faithful to Frank Herbert’s source material. When it comes to novel-to-screen adaptations, loyalty is generally a prized trait, but Dune: Part Two presents some unique opportunities to improve upon Herbert’s book in several ways, from making Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) a more active participant in the narrative to building up Pugh’s character, Princess Irulan, who, despite being the de facto narrator of Dune, has little bearing on the novel’s events.
