“They Never Told Me”: Adventure Time Actor Learns Real Reason They’re Not In Spinoff Over Social Media

Kumail Nanjiani learns the real reason he’s not involved with Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake, despite his Adventure Time character returning. The third series in the popular franchise, Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake debuted August 31 on Max. The spinoff follows the gender-swapped complements of Finn and Jake, named Fionna the Human and Cake the Cat, respectively, and chronicles their stories. It also brings back the character of Simon Petrikov, who used to be known as the Ice King, as the titular duo turns to him for help. It also includes a grown-up version of Finn who continues to go on adventures even without Jake.
