There Are Almost Never Thanksgiving Movies, Only Thanksgiving TV Episodes

Despite its cultural significance, Thanksgiving is portrayed much more often on TV than in movies. While Thanksgiving is a particularly big deal in the United States, it’s not the only place that celebrates the holiday. Many countries celebrate their own versions of Thanksgiving during different times of the year. All-in-all, Thanksgiving is a major holiday, and while its history is dark and messy (especially in the United States), it’s a sentimental time for many people. However, it rings true that Thanksgiving does not get represented in film nearly as much as it does in television.
