Thanks to its latest spinoffs, The Walking Dead has finally achieved what it planned three years ago: the TV franchise is running all year round. Based on the graphic novels by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore, the original The Walking Dead TV series debuted with a six-episode first season in 2010. After 11 seasons, 177 episodes, and countless Walker fatalities, the AMC’s hugely popular post-apocalyptic drama came to an end in 2022. Of course, The Walking Dead series finale’s ending didn’t spell the end of the franchise’s presence on television and streaming.
