The first time that readers and film audiences hear about Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films is when Hagrid mentions that Sirius loaned him his motorcycle to help take Harry away from Godric’s Hollow. Afterward, there is no mention of Sirius or his life until The Prisoner of Azkaban.
