The Flash Continues DC’s Worst Superman Cameo Trend

The Flash’s DC cameos continued the DCEU’s worst Superman trend, one that shows how much the franchise failed the Man of Steel. Henry Cavill’s Superman was introduced in Man of Steel, which reinvented the character for a more modern setting and retroactively became the start of the DCEU. Superman would then return for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which led right into Justice League. However, following Justice League (2017)’s box office performance and behind-the-scenes controversies, the future of the DCEU’s most important characters became uncertain. This included Superman, who only returned to the big screen in 2022’s Black Adam.
