The DCU’s First Villains Make The Evil Iron Man Story The MCU Couldn’t

The antagonists of Blue Beetle give viewers a glimpse at what the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Iron Man might have been like if he became a supervillain. The DCU’s first hero, Jaime Reyes, clashes with Victoria Kord, the Director of Kord Industries, and her right-hand man, Ignacio Carapax, a cybernetic OMAC solider who later receives upgrades to his implants. In a broad sense, the two DC villains reflect qualities of one of the MCU’s greatest heroes, Tony Stark, whose backstory and Iron Man armors could have easily made him one of the universe’s most devastating menaces.
