Sylvester Stallone’s Samaritan 2 Can Pay Off The First Movie’s Wasted Twist

After Samaritan was poorly received, a sequel to Sylvester Stallone’s superhero movie can pay off the first movie’s wasted twist. In the cape and cowl movie directed by Julius Avery, Sly plays a vigilante known as Samaritan who perished after taking on his arch-enemy, Nemesis. Despite living in poverty and being forced to accept jobs from local gangs, one boy (Javon “Wanna” Walton) believes that the hero still lives and continues to hold out hope that he’ll return to protect Granite City. When the boy nearly gets beaten to death in the streets, he’s saved by a garbage collector with superhuman strength, leading him to believe Samaritan has returned.
