Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 will show a canonical meeting that sets up Star Trek: The Original Series and is as crucial as Lt. James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley) meeting Lt. Spock (Ethan Peck). An alternate version of Captain Kirk appeared in the Strange New Worlds season 1 finale and met Commander Spock for the first time, but that happened in a now-deleted future timeline.
