Strange New Worlds Gives Kirk Reasons To Want The Enterprise More Than His Star Trek Ship

The Prime version of James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley) finally appeared in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2, and he may have already set his sights on commanding the USS Enterprise. While Paul Wesley guest-starred as a version of Kirk in earlier episodes of Strange New Worlds, the Prime version of the character first showed up briefly in “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow” before making more substantial appearances in “Lost in Translation” and “Subspace Rhapsody.” In those episodes, Kirk befriended several officers on the Enterprise, most notably Ensign Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) and Lt. La’an Noonien-Singh (Christina Chong), and seemed to enjoy his time on the Federation flagship.
