Stephen King Was Once A Romance Cover Model (In His Own Weird Way)
Stephen King, renowned for his mastery of horror, took an unconventional turn into the world of romance – not as a writer, but as a cover model in his own wonderfully weird style. In King’s non-fiction work Danse Macabre, he recounted how his love for the horror genre was discovered when he picked up a collection of short stories by H.P. Lovecraft. King’s debut as a professional writer occurred when he sold his first short story, “The Glass Floor,” to Startling Mystery Stories in 1967. Then in 1974, King had his breakout novel with his story of Carrie.
