Star Wars: Rebels Officially Saved Thrawn From His Original Canon Death

Thrawn is about to make his live-action debut in Star Wars canon with the upcoming Disney+ series Ahsoka, which will continue his story from the cliffhanger ending presented in Star Wars: Rebels. While Thrawn’s more mainstream inclusion in Star Wars lore is something many fans are looking forward to, some are already looking ahead to his inevitable death, as someone who’s as smart and seemingly unbeatable as Thrawn is too dangerous to be left alive for very long. However, they can rest assured that his ultimate demise won’t simply be a carbon copy of his original canon death in what is now referred to as Star Wars Legends, and Star Wars: Rebels already made sure of that.
