Star Wars’ Long-Lost "Missing X-Wing" Sells For $3,135,000
An important piece of Star Wars history is the long-lost X-wing of Red Squadron Leader as seen in A New Hope, and now it’s just been sold for $3,135,000. The miniature has been considered “long-lost” for years as one of the original four miniature models created for the infamous battle scene of the Rebel Alliance versus the Empire over the Death Star in A New Hope. This scene is not only known for its impact on the Star Wars franchise, but also on the way movies are made today, paving the way for the creations of miniatures in addition to bringing the iconic X-wing look to life. Now, it’s been located after many years, and it’s proven to be worth a fortune.
