Star Wars Canon Has Set Up Palpatine’s Sith Successor From Legends

The current Star Wars canon may be setting up Palpatine’s Sith successor from the Star Wars Legends continuity. In both timelines, there are very few beings who are worthy of succeeding the galaxy’s most powerful and dangerous Dark Lord of the Sith, but the Dark Lady of the Sith Lumiya is one such being. Lumiya was introduced to the Star Wars franchise by one of its first properties (Marvel’s classic Star Wars comics) and she would go on to play a major role in later Legends-era materials, particularly the Legacy of the Force novels. The new canon has seemingly laid the groundwork for a new version of Lumiya.
