Star Trek’s TOS And TNG Klingons Had 1 Big Difference (Not Bumpy Foreheads)

There was one major difference between how the Klingons were portrayed in Star Trek: The Original Series compared to Star Trek: The Next Generation and it wasn’t their lack of forehead bumps. The design of the Klingons was changed for Star Trek: The Motion Picture when makeup artist Fred Phillips suggested using the budget to create a more alien version. While the cranial ridges on the movie and TNG-era Klingons are the most notable difference, there are one or two more significant conceptual changes that happen between TOS and TNG.
