Spider-Verse’s Deleted Villains Prove 1 Cut Scene Has To Return In Spider-Verse 3
One incomplete scene involving newly-revealed villains who were deleted from 2023’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse could be repurposed to great effect in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. The sequel to 2018’s Into the Spider-Verse hit theaters in June 2023, and quickly became another smash-hit in Sony’s animated Spider-Man franchise. While the first film saw Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore, introduced to Spider-People from other realities, Across the Spider-Verse featured Earth-1610’s Spider-Man traveling into the multiverse himself. Exploring the Spider Society, Miles came face-to-face with hundreds of Spider-Man variants and a number of interdimensional villains, though his greatest threat came from his own universe: his new archenemy, the Spot, voiced by Jason Schwartzman.
