South Park’s Late 2023 Specials Could Revive A Great Holiday Tradition After 4 Years

It has been years since South Park fans got a Halloween or Christmas episode, but the show’s upcoming feature-length specials might be able to fix this issue. In recent years, South Park’s release schedule has undergone an interesting shift. Ever since the show’s co-creators signed a $900 million deal with Paramount+, the show hasn’t returned to its tradition of producing 10 to 15 new episodes per year. Instead, South Park now releases brief, six-episode seasons early in the year, followed by one or two feature-length specials later on. 2021 started this trend with the release of the two-part special South Park: Post Covid in November.
