Rebel Moon’s Two Titles Explained: What "A Child Of Fire" & "The Scargiver" Mean

Zack Snyder’s sci-fi epic Rebel Moon will span two movies, and each carries a subtitle referring to elements of the story. In Rebel Moon, a young woman named Kora (Sofia Boutella) is a former soldier for the Imperium, the tyrannical regime ruling over the Mother World. When her planet of Veldt is threatened by the Imperium’s attack, Kora assembles a team of warriors to stand against the overwhelming army. Snyder originally conceived of Rebel Moon as a Star Wars film, before later reshaping it into its own original universe in his partnership with Netflix, with other tie-ins like a Rebel Moon video game also in the works.
