Prey 2’s Best Story Isn’t The One Disney’s Predator Prequel Actually Set Up

Prey did set up an interesting sequel, but that isn’t the direction Prey 2 should go in. The 2022 movie totally revitalized the Predator franchise, as the prequel followed a string of sequels with mixed and negative receptions, but thanks to a unique spin on the formula, Prey became the highest-rated Predator movie on Rotten Tomatoes. Set in 1917, Prey follows Comanche warrior Naru (Amber Midthunder) as she’s hunted by the iconic alien. After a deadly cat-and-mouse chase, Naru single-handedly takes down the creature with its own weaponry before returning to her tribe as its new War Chief.
