Pokémon Gen 10 Games Can Shake Up The Series With This Starter Change

With Pokémon starting to look toward its next mainline game generation, one aspect of the series could do with a big shakeup — the starter Pokémon. As Pokémon Scarlet and Violet approaches the end of its DLC cycle with the impending release of The Indigo Disk, the mainline series of games will be moving onto its tenth generation — presumably introducing a new region, new characters, and a new collection of Pokémon to capture. However, while Pokémon is a series that holds strongly onto many of its traditions, changing some of the franchise’s long-held conventions could help the gameplay stay fresh.
